About ME:
With a doctorate in Asian Studies, Dr. Wu is an experienced teacher with a demonstrated history of working in teaching Chinese language, literature, and culture both in China and the United States. She is a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese and skilled in Chinese language teaching, educational technology, tutoring, and curriculum development. She came to the States in 2018 and successfully completed her teaching training program at Washington University in St. Louis.
After that, she joined East Stroudsburg University as a Chinese Instructor and was responsible for all levels of Chinese language courses. She is an active member of ACTFL and CLTA. Her recent interest is in developing proficiency based on ACTFL standards, integrating technology, Chinese poetry, and film in Chinese as a foreign language classroom. Her passion in these areas could inspire the students to explore the world and be curious to meet many people.

Our Courses
Chinese 101
This course is designed to help complete beginners who have no background in Chinese. The focus is to build a solid foundation for further learning.
Chinese 102
This course is designed for people who can read Pinyin and katakana. Students will be able to build sentences and express themselves in Chinese.
Chinese 103
This course is designed for people who have a good understanding of the most basic grammar and writing systems and want to further their skills in Chinese.
HSK/YCT Test Prepration Course
This course will cover an introduction to the HSK/YCT exam structure, HSK/YCT vocabulary lists, a range of topics covered in HSK/YCT, as well as grammar and sentence structure.

Please note that we have a 24 hours cancellation policy for all private tutoring sessions (online and in-person). Should you need to reschedule or cancel a tutoring lesson, we ask that you inform us at least 24 hours in advance, so our teachers can allocate their time accordingly. Failure to comply with our policy will result in a cancellation fee, depending on the length of the session.
